This textbook can be referred to as a resource book because it has wonderful constructivist lesson plans throughout each subject area that can be applied to daily classroom use. Easy to read and comprehend, written at a perfect level of rigor for my students. Before and After School teachers are important and they need to have a good attitude. This text can change that attitude."

"The style of writing is perfect for freshman and sophomore students. The book is organized in a way that makes it easy to navigate. The authors know their subject matter and the text information will help students understand DAP, the importance of letting children have a say in how their program operates, and how a school age program is very different from school. These are the reasons why I would highly recommend this text. Students want to keep this book because it is useful after the completion of the class."

About the Author
Phyllis Click obtained her bachelor and master's degrees from the University of California at Berkeley in psychology and child development. Throughout a long career, she worked in various settings with children and adults. She has taught in preschools, worked in summer camps, and developed and taught in a program for autistic children. She has also worked with adults, taught college students, administered grant programs, and designed a curriculum for prospective teachers for a private college. Now retired, she has been a consultant who has helped others start or administer programs, and has published widely. Her publications include another textbook, articles in professional journals, and ancillary materials for other authors¿ texts. She belongs to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, the California School-Age Consortium, and the Association for Childhood Education International.

Jennifer Parker is currently a professor of Early Childhood Education Studies at Moorpark College, Moorpark, California. She recently was instrumental in adding a school-age component to the child development degree program. Her classes include students with diverse backgrounds and experience, ranging from entry level to those who are currently teaching in early childhood programs. She received her Master's Degree from California State University, Northridge, and has had extensive experience working with children, families, and adults. She founded a parent-support program for infants and toddlers in a developmentally appropriate environment and has been a lead kindergarten teacher in an on-campus demonstration school. She is currently a member of an evaluation team using the School Age Environmental Rating Scale to evaluate a multi-site before-and-after school child care program.

and received the textbook on Monday; without any special delivery requests. The textbook was in very good condition.

It's a very good book, however if you rent it online it doesn't have page number which can be very difficult if you are trying to read it for a class and the teacher only gives you page numbers.

About the Author
Jonathan Tudge is a professor of human development and family studies at the University of North Carolina, Greensboro and has been a Fulbright scholar and visiting professor at the Institute of Psychology, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and a visiting professor at the University of Tartu, Estonia. He completed his undergraduate and master's degrees in England, at Lancaster and Oxford respectively, and his Ph.D. in human development and family studies at Cornell University in the United States. Before becoming a professor, he worked as a teacher of young children in England, Russia and the United States. His research examines cultural-ecological aspects of young children's development both within and across a number of societies, particularly focusing on the years before and immediately following the entry to school. He has co-authored, with Michael Shanahan and Jaan Valsiner, another book published by Cambridge University Press, Comparisons in Human Development: Understanding Time and Context, has also co-edited a third book and has published more than 70 journal articles and book chapters.

About the Author
Harry Sucher’s fascination with Indians began with a ride on a friend’s Powerplus in 1921. He owned various models, assembling a large collection of antique machines, which in turn led to intensive research into Indian’s complex history. He has spent a lifetime researching and studying motorcycles and the people who helped shape the sport in this country. He started collecting data as a young boy, when many of the motorcycle pioneers were available for personal interviews. Throughout his life, many of the original people assisted him in preparing original manuscripts, thus insuring historical accuracy for years to come.  Harry Sucher lives in California.

Great Book!

This book has the right balance of story and photos. There is plenty of information included for those with more than a passing interest in the Indian Motorcycle Company past and present. However, if you just like skimming through a coffee table book and picking up bits and pieces while you ogle the glossy images... this book provides for you as well. If you like history and motorcycles even a little bit, this is a worthwhile read.

i grew up with these views before i re-read this when i re-read this sfter so many years, i was opened up and my insight got better to what i really am. this book explains why black people atre the way they are now, the slave days how whites raped our women, why black men are castrated, and still getting (ripped off) out of their manhood, we should stop protesting, and figure out our own solutions, to our problems someone should update this novel, for this explains our plight, and future- all you have to do is open our eyes, and really see things in life from all sides of the table. we built this earth, and society, we are the creators of music, art, comedy, matematics, and everything known to mankind. yes white folks are taking our styles yes we are doomed, integration is killing us, how many real black people are left, check your tv blacks are making fools of themselves on talk showsevery day, we are taking up their ways too much more niggers are going around saying the best man for their daughters is a white man, and vice versa, we have aids here and africa, how come more blacks got aids adn only 3% whites have it make you think don't it. then there is a rising disease coming hpv which will pick up where aids left off, black people we should wake up and solve our own issues.

I'm a normal 30 year old guy, grew up Methodist but never really learned many of the details of Mary's life. I found this to be a great read, very informative and taught me things I've never even thought about Mary's life like she was a widow for the later part of her life.

I highly reccomend the book, great read for Christians or those that are interested in getting more background on Mary.

This book is a must read about the Mother of God. I love how Fr. Amorth divided the readings, that are really inspirational meditations, into two or three page, compact, deeply reflective, writings that have solid impact on our understanding of the Mother of God. Background and insight that is not so easily obtainable in other books, the result of which is to each day, for thirty days (each time its read) you come away interiorly moved and have a fuller sense of God's plan for us through Mary. Unfortunately, this book is out of print, which has steeply increased the cost though most sellers of even used ones. I was fortunate enough to have found a seller who seems more interested in distributing good Catholic books at a reasonable cost.

About the Author

Srikant M. Datar is the Arthur Lowes Dickinson Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, Faculty Chair of the Harvard University Innovation Labs, and Senior Associate Dean for University Affairs. He previously served as Senior Associate Dean from 2000 to 2010. A graduate with distinction from the University of Bombay, he received gold medals upon graduation from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India. A chartered accountant, he holds two master’s degrees and a PhD from Stanford University.

Datar has published his research in leading accounting, marketing, and operations management journals, including The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, and Management Science. He has served as an associate editor and on the editorial board of several journals and has presented his research to corporate executives and academic audiences in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia, and Europe. He is a coauthor of three other books: Managerial Accounting: Making Decisions and Motivating Performance, Rethinking the MBA: Business Education at a Crossroads, and Rethinking Graduate Management Education in Latin America.

Cited by his students as a dedicated and innovative teacher, Datar received the George Leland Bach Award for Excellence in the Classroom at Carnegie Mellon University and the Distinguished Teaching Award at Stanford University.

Datar is a member of the board of directors of Novartis A.G., ICF International, T-Mobile US, and Stryker Corporation, and Senior Strategic Advisor to HCL Technologies. He has worked with many organizations, including Apple Computer, Boeing, DuPont, Ford, General Motors, Morgan Stanley, PepsiCo, Visa, and the World Bank. He is a member of the American Accounting Association and the Institute of Management Accountants.

Madhav V. Rajan is the Robert K. Jaedicke Professor of Accounting at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. He is also Professor of Law (by courtesy) at Stanford Law School. From 2010 to 2016, he was Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and head of the MBA program at the Stanford GSB.

Rajan received his undergraduate degree in commerce from the University of Madras, India, and his MS in accounting, MBA, and PhD degrees from Carnegie Mellon University. In 1990, his dissertation won the Alexander Henderson Award for Excellence in Economic Theory.

Rajan’s primary area of research interest is the economics-based analysis of management accounting issues, especially as they relate to internal control, capital budgeting, quality management, supply chain and performance systems in firms. He has published his research in a variety of leading journals, including The Accounting Review, Journal of Accounting and Economics, Journal of Accounting Research, Management Science, and Review of Financial Studies. In 2004, he received the Notable Contribution to Management Accounting Literature award. He is a coauthor of Managerial Accounting: Making Decisions and Motivating Performance.

Rajan has served as the Departmental Editor for Accounting at Management Science as well as associate editor for both the accounting and operations areas. From 2002 to 2008, Rajan served as an editor of The Accounting Review. Rajan has twice been a plenary speaker at the AAA Management Accounting Conference.

Rajan has received several teaching honors at Wharton and Stanford, including the David W. Hauck Award, the highest undergraduate teaching award at Wharton. He teaches in the flagship Stanford Executive Program and is co-director of Finance and Accounting for the Nonfinancial Executive.He has participated in custom programs for many companies, including Genentech, Hewlett-Packard, and nVidia, and is faculty director for the Infosys Global Leadership Program.

Rajan is a director of Cavium, Inc. and iShares, Inc., a trustee of the iShares Trust, and a member of the C.M. Capital Investment Advisory Board.
