Very important read on Animal Rights

Uncaged: Top Activists Share Their Wisdom on Effective Farm Animal Advocacy is a must read for everyone, animal lover or not. I was especially taken by the section written by Dr. Charlotte Laws, PhD. Laws brilliantly points out that there can never be true consideration for nonhuman animals under a democracy that is only run for people, which excludes all living beings, namely animals. In an Omniocracy, a term she coined, nonhuman animals are constituents therein their interests are considered. As an animal lover who's been involved in animal rescue for the past twenty-eight years, I am thrilled to read what this author has to say in favor of setting up a government that shines a light on animal abuse and advocates to stop it. She gives examples how each of us can make a difference, in practical doable ways. I highly recommend this book to read what she and others who have written here have to say for the betterment of living in harmony and the ending of suffering to our animal brethren.

This book is an absolutely precious tool for any animal rights activist who wishes to make a difference for animals. It provides us with excellent advices from the best activists in order for us to truly make a difference at our own scale, using the right arguments and understanding our audience.

Thought provoking and an impetus for everyday action

This book is exceptional, and a serious contribution to the public dialogue about factory farming. I found it to be an amazing and well written strategy course for being an effective change agent that an experienced advocate or newcomer can benefit from. The thoughtful and compelling series of essays at the back in particular really serve to assist in putting the rest of the content in perspective, and in a candid, straightforward way move a reader to look beyond their peripheral vision. I especially appreciated being challenged by these closing essays to think outside the box in questioning some easy to make assumptions; and the sections on practical strategies and resources are a great help indeed.

Great Little Book for Powershell Users

This is an awesome little reference book for those that use Powershell either in their jobs or just to tweak their personal computer. All of the commands are easy to look up. The formatting is easy to read and this is a great addition if you are looking to learn how to write Powershell scripts or just to learn a bit more about them. There really is nothing to compare this book to so I will just say that this is a must have book to have on your desk as you are starting or continuing to write Powershell scripts.

This book doesn't contain beginners learning guides or a full reference, but contains a small guide to the important functions that are required for normal administration use. Great value for money.

Now I believe

I am not a big believer in pop science, and I didn't read the book word for word, but it cited so many studies from so many well-regarded sources that I gave olive leaf a try...and I am now a believer. Three capsules every three hours for three days cured an infection under my dental implants.

I was dreading having to undergo the removal of these implants to get to the problem, not to mention the expense. Olive leaf truly works and will now be the first thing I reach for when I need an antibiotic.

May 30, 2014 - it's 21 days later (review was written May 9 but published May 21) ...I was a little too enthusiastic, the product DOES work but takes longer than 3 days, actually took about 14 days for me to wake up one morning and realize that even the slight tingling of pain was gone. I really think that if I stopped taking olive leaf today the infection would be back in a few days. But I am still a believer and will continue to take this stuff daily, tho I am down to 2 capsules 3X per day.

It also seems to have managed the considerable inflammation from arthritis that causes me so much grief. I have seen a clear improvement in mobility since beginning olive leaf, a benefit that was unexpected and truly beneficial. I am just amazed that taking powdered leaf each day has had this effect. I know that 90% of our meds come from plant sources, but I am surprised and delighted that taking powdered leaves each day has had such a profound effect...thank you, Mother Nature!

Very informative looked for more detailed case studies on treatment regimens provides allot of information pertaining to the olive leaf extract mechanism of action which has empowered me to have more knowledge about the bennifits of olive leaves. Some redundancy noted and not enough detailed information on treatment regimens but does give guidance on knowing if regimen is effective. Good book academic in nature.

I love having research to back up my practices. We use almost all natural cures for our illnesses these days. Done with establishment crap! This book told me all I needed to know to help me feel confident as I used olive leaf to get rid of colds and flu's. Ignoring his life-threatening, frail constitution and the corrosive racism of his small southern community, young Jesse latched onto mentors whose confidence in his potential made him the gold medal hero of the 1936 Olympics. Under the subtly profound guidance of his junior-high coach, Owens developed an unwavering faith in himself and a belief in the fairness of the world that not even public ridicule from such divergent agitators as Adolf Hitler and Malcolm X could destroy. This densely detailed biography occasionally sags under the weight of redundancy, but it shows obvious reverence for Owens and the dignity with which he faced his tribulations. In addition, through Owens' example, it offers readers a clear and inspiring picture of how one man overcame his racist enemies by simply being true to himself. Source notes; further reading.
