A necessity for 21st century educators

This book was exactly what I was looking for. As a teacher trying to start a one-to-one iPad program, I found the pedagogical section to be informative and insightful, buttressing my effort to create a clear and cogent plan to submit to my administration and empowering me to be able to answer any queries about the logistics of such a program.. The technological breakdown makes the entire process digestible to even the most technologically impaired educators.
However, I think what makes this book so incredibly useful is that it is written by teachers who have navigated the pitfalls of spear-heading this educational technology movement. I would be remiss if I did not mention that the book is written in plain English. This is not written by theorists with complicated jargon, but by real human beings who do a wonderful job of preparing the reader for any of the pratfalls that are inherit in such a daunting undertaking.
If you are in the process of, or plan to start a one-to-one program, this is a must buy.

They touch upon some of the research behind 1:1 initiatives and try to generalize when possible to look beyond just using iPads with laptops or other devices. Provides both practical advice and things to think about if you're starting a 1:1 program with iPads in K-12 schools.
